SOME ASPECTS OF SOCIAL-ECONOMIC STATE OF GEORGIA UNDER THE PANDEMIC

Summary

The global pandemic has dealt a significant blow to the world economy. For its part, the economies of individual countries have been shaken and Georgia isn’t exception. Therefore, each country has to come up with an anti-crisis plan to defeat the "invisible enemy" together. Based on Georgia's economic resources, we consider that agriculture is a sector that in the short term will give us possibility to create the necessary preconditions for household use in times of crisis, as well as to maintain more or less local agro-food products in the market, which will also be available for local customers In order to identify the priority sector of the country's economy.

A quantitative study was conducted by us, where a large part of the respondents consider that agriculture as a priority. The article discusses the negative consequences of the impact of the pandemic (new covid-19) and the importance of innovative development of the agricultural sector in this process.
